WOODBRIDGE, Conn. – ChemWerth, a leading supplier of generic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), today announced the promotion of Vincent “Vinny” Asaro to President of ChemWerth Inc.
Vinny started at ChemWerth nearly 20 years ago and has served the majority of his tenure as Chief Financial Officer, where he has played a key role in the company’s growth and strategic direction. Vinny has been instrumental in evaluating and executing investment opportunities, leading cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance, and supporting board governance.
In his new role as President, Vinny will focus on building upon ChemWerth’s strong foundation, maintaining a robust development pipeline, and continuing to deliver high-quality service to customers while expanding the company’s global footprint.
The appointment marks a deliberate transition by the Werth Family to entrust operational leadership of the firm, founded by Peter J. Werth in 1982, to a leader who has helped shape it for two decades. Mr. Werth will continue as Chairman of the Board, and Peter Werth III will take an active role as a member of the Board of Directors, ensuring the family’s continued involvement in the company’s long-term direction.
“I look forward to applying my experience to support ChemWerth’s continued growth, expand our global reach, and reinforce our position as a leader in the generic API market,” said Vinny.
Vinny also brings nearly 36 years of professional experience, with most of his career spent in the pharmaceutical industry. He has also worked in the consumer products sector and began his career in public accounting. Vinny is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Vinny earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Providence College and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Connecticut. He has also completed executive leadership programs at both Notre Dame University and Harvard Business School.
Vinny added, “We have a strong, capable team in place, and I’m confident in our ability to continue driving ChemWerth forward and competing on a global scale.”
